Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy

At The Kanika, we aim to provide high-quality products and a smooth shopping experience. Please read our Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy carefully before placing an order.


Eligibility for Return or Exchange

You may request a return or exchange if:

  • The product is unused, unwashed, and in its original condition
  • All tags and packaging are intact
  • The product is damaged, defective, or incorrect at the time of delivery

📌 Unboxing video is mandatory for all return or exchange requests.
The video must clearly show the product during the delivery opening process.


Non-Returnable / Non-Exchangeable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Accessories
  • Customized or made-to-order products
  • Pre-order items
  • Stitched blouses
  • Products purchased during clearance or sale

Minor variations in color, weave, or design due to artisanal craftsmanship are not considered defects.


Return Request Timeline

  • Return or exchange requests must be raised within 3 days of delivery.
  • Requests received after this period will not be accepted.

Return Shipping

  • Return shipping charges (₹200 per order) are to be borne by the customer.
  • In case of damaged or incorrect products, return shipping may be waived after verification.

Refund & Store Credit

  • Refunds are not provided in cash or to the original payment method.
  • Approved returns will be issued as store credit.
  • Store credit will be issued within 5–7 working days after the returned product passes quality inspection.
  • Store credit is valid for 3 months from the date of issue and can be used on future purchases.

Order Cancellation

Cancellation Before Dispatch

  • Orders can be cancelled before dispatch by contacting us.
  • In such cases, a store credit will be issued.

Cancellation After Dispatch

  • Orders once dispatched cannot be cancelled.
  • Customers may follow the return process after delivery, subject to policy terms.

Order Cancellation by Seller

We reserve the right to cancel an order due to:

  • Product unavailability
  • Quality issues
  • Pricing or listing errors

In such cases, the customer will be notified and an appropriate refund or store credit will be issued.

Governing Law

This policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of West Bengal, India.
